Dr. David Hughes is founder and CTO of Silver Peak Systems. He started Silver Peak in 2004 after a year as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Benchmark Capital. David holds fifteen patents covering packet scheduling, routing, and control algorithms. He earned his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Wollongong University, Australia, and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Auckland University in New Zealand.

Rick is president and CEO of Silver Peak Systems. Prior to Silver Peak, he co-founded Turnstone Systems, and as president and CEO, led the company through a highly-successful IPO. Rick has served as an “Entrepreneur in Residence” with Institutional Venture Partners and Benchmark Capital. From 1993-97, Rick held various positions at Newbridge Networks, most recently as VP and general manager with global operating responsibility for LAN products. Rick holds an MBA from the University of Dallas, and a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Duke University. For more than 15 years, he has led marketing and public relations programs in computer networking, computer security, and for the U.S. House of Representatives.
