Once Size Fits All

One-Size-Fits-All Network Acceleration – It’s Here

Once Size Fits AllHave you ever put on a pair of gloves that were advertised as one-size-fits-all? I once tried to get my hand into one of these gloves, but it just didn’t fit. It was good marketing, but the product didn’t work for me. I’ve even attempted the rain shoe covers that stretch to fit all sizes. I did manage to pull them on, but then I couldn’t get them off!

One-size-fits-all is a great concept, but the product execution needs to be right. When it comes to improving the performance of wide area networks, it’s important to have the right network acceleration solution that fits your particular business, data centers, applications, and networks.

Network acceleration solves network quality, capacity, and distance challenges. Software-based, virtual WAN optimizers can be a one-size-fits-all solution. They can be quickly deployed on-demand, easily moved anywhere, and priced based on the throughput you need.

Rather than accelerating only a few applications, network-based virtual WAN optimizers handle all traffic types. Not only does this give you a one-size-fits-all solution, it future-proofs your network for forthcoming application deployments.

It’s important to find the right WAN optimizers that fit your data center. If your data center is built with virtual technologies, then virtual WAN optimizers are going to be the best fit. If the WAN optimizers support any hypervisor, and can be deployed on any platform, such as routers, switches, servers, blades, and storage arrays, that’s an even better fit.

Obviously, CAPEX and OPEX are very important. Subscription pricing fits the one-size-fits-all bill. With subscription-based pricing, you don’t have to pay up front for performance you don’t need. You just pay for what you do need at the time that you need it. After a short-term data migration project, subscription pricing allows you to easily take a virtual WAN optimizer out of the network. Or, it can be re-purposed for a different project, like accelerating data replication, backup, and migration between two sites.

Virtual WAN optimizers can easily and cost-effectively accelerate traffic at headquarters, branch offices, and between multiple sites for business continuity and disaster recovery.

Just as you wouldn’t want to get stuck in the rain with an inadequately sized umbrella, you need one-size-fits-all for network acceleration:  subscription pricing, anywhere and anytime deployment migration, and support for any type of application, system, and network.
